Preparation

  • Patients are responsible for researching their own insurance plan, knowing how many visits they have allotted to them.

  • Before attending your first visit, please complete intake paperwork which allows us more time for discussion and treatment during the first visit.

  • Please avoid brushing your tongue the day of the appointment as tongue diagnosis is an important part of Traditional Chinese Medicine and tongue brushing can skew diagnostic results.

  • Please try to eat a light meal a couple hours before treatment. Food will help ground the body when acupuncture and energy work is being performed.

  • Try to use the restroom before treatment, but if nature calls during the treatment, we can remove the needles early if needed.

  • If you are on any medications or supplements, please remember to bring a list of everything you are taking or add it to your initial intake paperwork as well as any important Western medical paperwork you think would be valuable to share based on your condition.

  • Please wear loose clothing that can be easily rolled up or down if needed. If you forget to wear loose clothing, the option to remove clothing instead and be covered with a sheet is available.

General FAQ

What do I wear?

Loosely fit and comfortable clothing. Often when treatment starts I will tell you to “remove shoes, hair ties, and anything from your pockets.”

Do you take insurance?

I am currently contracted with Regence, Premera, Kaiser, Aetna, Triwest, and Humana (only for chronic back pain for humana) insurances. All other insurances I am not contracted with and am considered an “Out of Network Provider.”  I am more than happy to provide you with a “superbill” with insurance codes for insurance reimbursement that you can submit to your insurance company. Superbills are only done upon request and will be emailed to you after treatment.

How can I pay?

All major credit and HSA cards, cash or checks are accepted at the time of service or can be invoiced to you after treatment.
